Acadia SUP Policies

RESERVATION, REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Due to the small group nature of our lessons/tours, Acadia Stand Up Paddleboarding LLC has a VERY STRICT 24-HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY. Cancellations must be made by phone or email a minimum of 24 hours from the start time of your lesson or full charges will apply. No refunds are given for same day cancellations. No exceptions will be made. Failure to show up or show up on time (at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time) for your lesson may result in the lesson leaving/starting without you and full charges will still apply.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES:

Lessons run rain or shine, in light to moderate winds, and in locations that are sheltered from huge ocean exposure and waves. Come prepared. If your lesson is canceled for any reason, you will not be charged and be given the opportunity to reschedule for another time.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Full payment is required at the time of your booking.  We accept all major credit cards.  A gratuity is not included but always appreciated. If you wish to leave your instructor a gratuity, please bring cash and give it to them directly at the end of the lesson.

WAIVER AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:

All participants will be required to fill out a basic medical information form and a standard liability waiver. Minors under the age of 18 will need the signature of a parent or guardian on all forms. Our minimum age for standard lake sessions is 9yrs or 50lbs and 12yrs or 100lbs for the ocean/bay. Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult or you must book a private session. We are happy to work with you on a private lesson with kids as young as 6yrs or weighing under 50lbs. Any exceptions for our standard group lesson policy are made on a case-by-case basis.

FEE POLICY FOR ENTRY TO ACADIA NATIONAL PARK ON LAKE LESSONS:

Entry into Acadia National Park is NOT free. All customers on LAKE lessons are expected to have procured their own National Park Pass prior to the Lesson. Vehicle tags are valid for one week and good for all people in your vehicle. Entrance passes may be obtained seasonally at the following Acadia National Park fee stations: Sand Beach Entrance Station, Hulls Cove Visitor Center, Bar Harbor Village Green, Thompson Island Information Center, Blackwoods Campground, Seawall Campground, and Park Headquarters.   You may also purchse your park pass online at www.yourpassnow.com.  Acadia SUP will not be held responsible for any tickets or fees incurred as a result of your failure to procure a valid and current Pass
